Aaron Simpson attended Governor's School West in 2007 for Choral Music. A native of the "Old North State," Aaron was raised with a deep appreciation for North Carolina's legacy of investing in education and the constant vigilance required to maintain that legacy.

Currently living in Washington, DC, Aaron serves as Political Director for the NewDEAL Leaders, a coalition of 150 State and Local elected leaders focused on building a stronger, more equitable, American economy.

Outside the office, Aaron helps bring together the North Carolina community in Washington as President of the North Carolina Democratic Club and Vice-President of the North Carolina State Society.
